Liberty Basket

A two-tier basket on legs, maybe originally a sewing basket, given a touch of white paint plus a skirt from gorgeous liberty floral lawn.

The inside top painted a matching vintage green, decoupaged with CK roses.

I left the back open since it won't be visible, useful for storage.

Not sure what I'll use it for, or where I'll put it.

Maybe a place for homeless toys?

No sewing involved, I just glued the fabric top and bottom, gathering as I went along - quick and easy!

  1. That's really nice! I can remember my aunt had one like that when I was a little girl - she used hers for the baby talc, creams, cotton wool, clean nappies etc.

  2. I really like your basket. I wish I could find one like it!! I would have never thought about a fabric skirt. But that added to its character. Really nice!!
